• How did you get your start
or interest in racing?

"My brother, Keith, and
son, Brad were already racing. My wife and I rode around for a
whole day on our vacation and ran across my first race car:
A 1971 Pontiac LeMans T37." |

• What do you remember about
your first race?
|
"The leaders lapped me in about five laps. I was
so slow, my mother gave me the nickname "Pokeymoe" and it stuck
with me to this day." |

• What is your favorite memory or moment in racing?
|
"My favorite time is racing side by side for
position with my son." |
|
• What is your least
favorite memory or moment in racing?
|
"Brad had gotten the pole in Jacksonville
(Coastal Plains Speedway). It was
the first time that he had ever been there. Then in the race the
transmission didn't shift and we blew the engine." |

• What is your funniest
memory or moment in racing?
|
"I was late getting to the track, before I
started racing. I got to Brad and he had the fuel cell out of the
car emptying it. Come to find out, someone had told him to try
putting a couple of bottles of alcohol in the racing fuel and it
would give you more horsepower.
He was using rubbing alcohol.
(Laughing real hard) I don't know if someone was trying
to mess him up or they just didn't know any better, but that's
still funny to me." |

• What is your scariest
memory or moment in racing?
|
"In my second of third race ever
(1998), my throttle hung open
going into turn one. It released before I hit the wall, but it was
close." |

• What is the maddest that
you have ever been in racing?
|
"During the pre-season driver's meeting in 2005,
the tech man was explaining a rule to us about pedal placement.
When I made a comment about not being able to reach the pedals in
the stock position, he said 'You're short, I'm tall. That's life's
cruelty.' It kinda made me mad." |

• Why did you choose your
car number (93)?

"My son had #94, so I chose one number down." |

• What is your all-time
favorite racecar?
|
"The 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass I drove in 2004 and
2005." |

• What lesson have you
learned because of racing?
|
"Learn the right people to take advice from.
Don't do everything that everyone tells you to do." |
