• How did you get your start or interest in racing?

"Back in 2000, Braxton had hurt his shoulder and couldn't drive, so they asked me if I wanted to. I drove it to a last place finish that night."

 • What do you remember about your first race?

I started in the back since I had never run there before. I think it only took a few laps to put me a lap down. Daddy told me after the race that I had done well. I gotten out of the way of the faster cars, just like I should've. Even being slow, he made me feel good about it."

 • What is your favorite memory or moment in racing?

"The best feeling I've had in a race car is my first race with a new engine in the UCAR's last year (2005). I finished third and realized that my prior poor finishes weren't all my fault. That same night was the first night my two nephews had ever gone to the track. It was fun."

 • What is your least favorite memory or moment in racing?

"My first race in the UCAR's last year (2005) with the original engine. As soon as the green waved, I knew we were in trouble, because we had chosen the wrong type engine. I went a lap down half way through that race."

 • What is your funniest memory or moment in racing?

"I had to take Brad and Daddy's car to the track to practice (2005). Neither one of them could make it, so Mama went. She knew it was the first time that I had been in a Modified Street Stock in about four years. (Laughing) She was timing the car with one hand and had the other one over the top of head and her eyes. Every time I got loose, she would squat down like she was trying to drive me out it. I was laughing my tail off in the car and she was worried sick."

 • What is your scariest memory or moment in racing?

"I was on the outside of a guy when he broke his tie-rod and slammed into me and I hit the wall. I wasn't expecting it, so I guess that's my biggest scare so far. Brad's airborne wreck last year was scary, too."

 • What is the maddest that you have ever been in racing?

"I got real mad at Daddy one time. [#3] kept cutting him off and Dad wouldn't keep his nose under [#3]. He let that happen about four times and never did get past him."

 • Why did you choose your car number (92)?

"My brother had 94, my dad had 93, so it was either 92 or 95. My car was a 1992 Plymouth Sundance, so I chose 92."

 • What is your all-time favorite racecar?

"The #93 Oldsmobile Cutlass I drove in 2003."

 • What lesson have you learned because of racing?

"The pits are one big family for the most part. If you're in trouble, they'll help you and you help them if they need something. I would've never thought that until I started racing and staying in the pits. You won't find that in any other sport."
